By contrast to the Declaration of Conformity the Declaration of Incorporation applies where a machine can not be used independantly of other machines, processes or systems.

Contents of the declaration by the manufacturer or his authorised representatives established in the Community (Article 4(2))

The manufacturer’s declaration of incorporation referred to must contain the following particulars:

— name and address of the manufacturer or the authorised representative,
— description of the machinery or machinery parts,
— where appropriate, the name and address of the notified body and the number of the EC type-examination certificate,
— where appropriate, the name and address of the notified body to which the file has been forwarded in accordance with the machinery subject to the special attestation procedure,
— where appropriate, the name and address of the notified body which has carried out the verification accordance with the machinery subject to the special attestation procedure,
— where appropriate, a reference to the harmonised standards,
— a statement that the machinery must not be put into service until the machinery into which it is to be incorporated has been declared in conformity with the provisions of the Directive,
— identification of the person signing.
